The new baby is going to be in modern cloth nappies this time round (so differnt from the kind my mum used to use) and so I have been on a mission to knit little Soakers, which are basically wooly knickers that are lanolised for waterproofness and a great way of letting nappy and bum breath, while keeping clothes dry. There are heaps of patterns out there and I just love this one! Will look super cute on bub, so can't wait for her arrival!
The first one I made is from Malabrigo Merino Worsted, which we hope to have in store in the next 8-10 weeks (it's being dyed for us right now), and this yarn is so incredibly soft that I have truly fallen in love!
My next was made from The Yarn Cafe Bluefaced Leicester & Alpaca Blend which is an 8ply, not the recommended 12ply, so I am hoping this will fit a newborn!
